Brilliant. From the video I can’t decide if you're promoting yourself or a product (you could sell those t-shirts) and using the hits from his supporters, or if you're a supporter who’s using her image to make being an Obama fan cool. Either way, things are getting interesting.

I guess no one thought of how Michelle Obama would feel. Oh yea, she's a Black woman and no one cares about their feelings.

All White women deserve whatever Black man of prominence they choose.

This is just another attack on Black women.

This is racist, just like keeping Montell Williams on the air just because he promotes that Black men leave Black women for White women.

AmeriKKKa hasn't changed one bit.

Do anything that harms the Black race. 70 percent of Black women are living without a spouse and since Michelle Obama is one of the other 30 percent, let's insult her and make Obama some type of Mandingo that is a sexual object for White women's perversion.

Shameful.

We black people create our own trouble for not respecting our family values. We have to stop blaming white people for our problems. This young girl is doing nothing wrong. All she said was she have crush on Obama. All I can say is she is promoting Obama’s popularity. That does not mean she is going to take him away from Michelle. Michelle's smart. She will not be bothered by imagination.

Well, clearly there are no individuals that are for women's rights, respect, or dignity that find this disgracefully sexist video "amusing", which apparently includes ABC News as well. It is all a big joke to ABC News to treat women without respect, dignity, or minds. How disgusting. It is hard to believe that in the other corner America has a woman actually running for president. I guess this embarrassingly sexist video tells the story of Hillary Clinton's chances already. What a shame for American women in 2007.

Its funny, try purchasing a sense of humor...I know a few judges with some to sale. For christs sake...laughter is healthy so watch this video.

Nice titties, bad politics.

GOOD GRIEF...HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR!
We FINALLY get an intelligent and humane Presidential candidate, who also happens to be handsome, cool, and HAPPILY MARRIED! Hey, secure and intelligent married folks can STILL APPRECIATE being recognized (smile) by the younger generation! Lighten up, already...get serious about education, health care, poverty, violence, racism, WAR, backing a great candidate in the next election...must I continue????
VISUALIZE WORLD & LOCAL PEACE :-}
SMILE...IT'S LATER THAN YOU THINK!

All I have to say is stop the f*ckery! This video is whack and so is Obama girl! Being that she is a woman, shouldn't she be promoting Hillary's audacious run for the Presidential bid? My bad, I forgot, she's a groupie. LOL LAME!

How Disrespectful!

Not only does he have a wife , He has 2 daughters. did they consider their feelings? If course not! just interested in airing a tramp slut who has no respect for herself or the man's family.

Hello! Obama is a socialist Islamic theocrat. Will somebody please expose this guy?!?!?!?!
This is not hte guy we want in the White House. He supports sharia law and was schooled by Wasahbbi in the MidEast as a child - they teach your friendly neighborhood "radicals" (as they call them). This guy is bad news. Makr my words.

You're insane. First of all, he's nowhere near a socialist (have you looked at his voting record?). Secondly, he's a Christian (have you read either of his books?), who regularly attends a Christian church. You don't know what the hell you're talking about.

I had stopped by this site to say I thought the video was great, even though I don't intend to vote for Barack. I felt referring (or is it inferring????--nonetheless) that the entire Right is nothing but liars was not terribly fair.

Then I saw Pearl Jr's post. And I was motivated to say a little more.

Pearl, the only racist here is you. You've allowed your hatred to bias you about this video, and a great many other things in life, I'd guess. "This is just another attack on Black women." Forgive the vernacular, but--Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!?

I can say with almost complete 100% certainty that this video was NOT intended to be an attack on Black women of any sort, let alone one attack in a long line of attacks in an ongoing campaign against Black women, as Pearl Jr. suggests.

This has nothing to do with Black women! It is a video for a song about a CRUSH the writer has on a political candidate!!! There's no direct or indirect suggestion that the actress intends to replace Mrs. Obama! It's about a CRUSH! It was probably written by a white person (if I followed the pictures on ABC's site properly) who hired an actress. A white actress.

And this makes it an attack on Black women?

If it had just been a song, with no video, would it still have been an attack on Black women? What if it had been sung by a man, would it have then been an attack on Black women?

The "AmeriKKKa" you allude to would have had NOTHING to do with potentially promoting a black candidate, and even LESS with a white girl being romantically (or possibly physically, depending on your definition of the very key word in the title, "CRUSH") interested in him. Personally, I hope we've left those days behind us. I know there are still some that cling to their misguided beliefs, but to scream racism at everything (and something tells me you do), and to even suggest those people had any sort of hand in this little video, is beyond absurd. There should be a new word for it.

Also, I've also put a lot of thought today into how Mrs. Obama and the Obama children feel about this video. I think if I were in his shoes, my wife would be happy for the positive publicity, and would have no problem with the suggestion that young, nubile girls found me attractive, mentally stimulating, and worthy of their vote. The video could have taken a different turn (been more vulgar, or more explicit) that would eventually lead to a line she wouldn't be terribly appreciative of, but for what is there, she'd be fine with it. My wife and I have a tremendously strong relationship, and I can only pray for the same for the Obamas.

In closing, I truly hope you are able to see past Black and white in the future, Pearl. I want you to scream "racism!" at the top of your lungs when you truly see it, but the sabre-rattling has to come to an end. To call this video sexist--you'd have an argument...I wouldn't agree, but I'd concede you would have a reasonable position. To call it racist, though, is beyond the pail.

PS--Why the heck are we capitalizing "Black" when referring to black women?!?

I agree with Charles A. -- the only racist here is Pearl Jr. Pearl, you need to open your eyes.

First of all, if Barack would be willing to leave Michelle for a random girl who made an Internet video about him, my personal belief is that Michelle would be better off without him. I am only interested in a man who wants me above other women. If my man would rather be with some other girl, I'll let him go.

Secondly, if Barack (or any other man of color) is attracted to women who are white, as you alluded... so what? That is his/their personal choice. Just because a man is black does not mean he is only allowed to date black women -- just another racist remark on YOUR part. If Barack would prefer to date a white woman, let him. Who cares? I know plenty of interracial couples, but YOU are the one who seems to have a problem with that. I bet you wouldn't have a problem with a white man being interested in a black woman, though.

Your childish and immature comments on this CLEARLY FOR FUN Internet site are simply ridiculous, and I'm sure that "Obama Girl" and most likely Barack himself would agree. However, thank you for providing me with a good laugh this evening. I can only hope that one day you will grow up and learn to stop being a racist yourself.

I applaud the creative vision of this video! I earnestly request that those who dislike this video view it in the mind set that this video is purely entertainment. I also wish to point out that Obama Girl never said, "VOTE FOR OBAMA BECAUSE HE LOOKS NICE!" or, "VOTE FOR OBAMA BECAUSE I HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM!" In fact she never encouraged any citizen to vote for a specific candidate. ALSO, it should be noted that Obama Girl was quite interested and motivated to be involved in politics, an idea opposed to sexism. IN FACT, her image as an attractive young women that is also intelligent shatters sexist ideas. This video is simply a unique expression of current conditions in society. I HAVE FAITH IN THE AMERICAN SYSTEM OF DEMOCRACY AND TRUST THAT NO CITIZEN WILL VOTE FOR A CANDIDATE SOLELY BASED ON THEIR APPEARANCE! This is going to be a long campaign, and this was simply a refreshing intermission.

When I watched this video, the thought that she's white and he's black never crossed my mind. Why do people still see and separate color like that? I'm white and I couldn't care less what color a candidate is. Why is this even an issue, and who's really creating that issue today? I say stop digging up old wounds. It's not the 50's anymore. Though there is still racism on both sides, there are plenty of people who don't instigate that kind of drama now. Just let it be and be happy with your black and white neighbors. Try seeing them as human rather than as part of a race or color. It's just silly not to.

What I got from the video is:

1. It's tongue in cheek, ie: funny.
2. She's saying that she appreciates his values. Isn't that a compliment and not disrespect?
3. Thank god that someone is finally making a political point based on real reasons to like a candidate, instead of the scripted, suited speeches most candidates use. If you take your eyes off the visuals and listen to the lyrics, she's explaining why she thinks Obama is a good man. She's not just saying that he's hot and that's why she wants him as president. There's so much more in there if you listen. For once, maybe people can vote for someone who has the qualities to be a good president, not just a figurehead of a party. So many people vote for candidates because they're used to voting rep or dem, and not because someone's actually a good candidate with solid values.
4. What a clever way to get Obama's name out there, especially among my generation. We americans have ADD and we need to have a candidate's name shoved down our throats to remember him/her. Hey, regardless of how tasteful or not this video is, it reflects the reality of today's youth culture, and why not use that style for a good cause? The fact that proceeds from the sales of the song go to charity should be a clue as to what the intent is.

I didn't figure that Obama's wife should be threatened by this. If they have such a secure marriage, then it's no big deal. I don't see this as disrespecting anyone. It's actually the opposite, since it's giving Obama so much publicity in the younger generation's culture.

What an enormously hateful person you are, Pearl Jr. You sound like a white southern slavemaster. White women's "perversion"? Is it perverted for a white woman to find a black man attractive? Are you attempting to reclaim the slavemaster's theory that white and black people are different species?

Black women do not own black men. You do not deserve any special controls. You do not, simply by merit of being a black woman, have the right to demand that black men not recieve so much as a compliment without your permission.

YOU are a racist, and this is clear to any person who is not so filled with fear of black women's condemenation that they fail to even consider the question.

You do black women no favors by representing them this way. Millions of black women *get* love too, and do so without confusing love with slavery.

When Jon Stewart interviewed Angelina Jolie, was he disrespecting Brad Pitt by making it clear how attractive she was? No, of course not. Compliments don't disrespect the receiver's spouse, unless marriages are just property agreements.

Go get help, you are severly disturbed.

Thats the worst way to get publicity! Highly disrespectful. Obama is not a person who can be used this way. Why not use some other men from the same profession as the girl does?

Why didn’t this girl make a video for Rudy or one of the other candidates? I think this video is thoughtless and disrespectful. However, Michelle does not have to worry about this bimbo. She is beautiful with a brain. She graduated from Princeton University and Harvard School of Law. She can run for president if she wanted to. Bimbo and gang are trying to make a name for themselves. People will do anything to get a little fame.

Just caught the video.
The political people(i am not one) causing a stink about it is cracking my ass up.
This is a funny vid! Great music! Hot singer! (i'm in love or mabey its lust..I alwaus get them confused)

To all you whiney political activists. It's a SONG.
Everytime a election comes up, there are many of them. Have fun with them. sheese

I like your creativity...great presentation and video.
Peace and Blessings
